Sky Gardens – Construction Update August 2018

The latest Sky Gardens Construction Update details the setup of the siteplus extensive strip out and removal of materials from location to make way for new structures. Main works include the removal of electrical
fittings, the stripping out of ceilings and the elimination of surplus materials

Works Progressed
• Scaffold erection is underway.
• Site hoarding is up.
• Fire strategy has been produced.
• Full building survey including the roof has been undertaken.
• Internal strip out is nearing completion.
• Materials are being removed via skips on site.
• Removal of electrical fittings continues.
• Ceiling strip outs continue to progress with ceiling zones cleaned out.

Works Progressed
• A drainage survey has been completed and alteration works have progressed.
• A Letter of Intent has been issued and contracts are to be finalised in due course.
• Internal strip out continues.
• Materials are being removed via skips on site.
• Removal of electrical fittings continues.
• Removal of toilet cubicles and vanity units has progressed.
• Ceiling strip outs continue to progress.
• Carpet tile and floor finishes removal is ongoing.
• Removal of the internal studwork is ongoing.
• A further asbestos survey is underway.
• Main contract works have commenced.
• HSE visited the site on 4th July 2018 and no issues were noted.

Works Scheduled
Site welfare facilities including a cabin to be delivered and ongoing furniture removal.
The current utilities connections are to be disconnected and a temporary supply will be provided.
Soft strip 3rd floor.
Soft strip 4th floor.
Remediation works to be carried out if necessary.
